Our Strategic Approach is guided by a seven-year Strategy Plan of Action 2024 – 2030 with the goal – “Triumph beyond limits and attain sustainable development”. We deliver practical, community-led solutions that strengthen the resilience of vulnerable populations, advance wellbeing, and build stronger systems through three flagship interventions that define our impact.

What does HTYF stand for?

Why do we do what we do?
Many children lack access to basic healthcare, young people—especially girls—lack pathways to skills and income, and families remain vulnerable. HTYF works to ensure that everyone has the opportunity to be healthy, empowered, and successful, regardless of their circumstances.

How long has the foundation been active?
Established in November 2003 and formally registered with the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) in 2005, HTYF has over two decades of experience in health, economic empowerment, and institutional strengthening.
What is HTYF’s programmatic focus?
HTYF focuses on:
- Health, Nutrition, and Vulnerable Children.

What specific Health, Nutrition, and Vulnerable Children issues does HTYF address?
We deliver quality services in Sexual and Reproductive Health (SRH), including HIV/AIDS prevention and management, menstrual health and hygiene, and WASH initiatives. We also train healthcare providers and caregivers in the early detection, treatment, and management of malnutrition among children, adolescent girls, and women.
Who can benefit from HTYF’s programs?
Between 2019 and 2023, HTYF reached 68,209 individuals across 301 communities in 37 Local Government Areas and Area Councils in Plateau, Enugu, Bauchi, and the FCT. (HTYF Impact Report 2019 – 2023).
Thirty-six percent (36%) are Orphans and Vulnerable Children (0–18 years), reflecting our focus on protecting and empowering the most at-risk populations.
Do you offer economic support?
Yes. Through our flagship You-SkillED Program, we provide education and skills development, support Village Savings and Loan Associations (VSLAs), and implement employment and job creation initiatives to help youth, women, and men achieve financial independence.
How do you support survivors of gender-based violence or prevent unsafe health practices?
We offer linkage and referral services, safe spaces for mentorship, education, and advocacy, and programs that help individuals transition from vulnerable situations to productive, healthy roles within their communities.

Is my donation tax-deductible?
Yes, for companies. No, for individuals. HTYF is a registered NGO in Nigeria (CAC/IT/NO 18565), and documentation for tax purposes is available upon request for official donations.
Who leads the foundation?
HTYF is governed by nine (9) Board of Trustees, the highest decision-making authority. Operational management is led by the Executive Management Team, coordinated by the Executive Director, Amb. Aji Rachael Robinson (FIMC).
